MIAS 2025 | The Aito M9 is one high-tech range extender SUV

Our market is full of Chinese automakers, with brand after brand coming in. But Aito wants to set itself apart from the others as it previews its flagship, the M9, to the crowd of the 20th Manila International Auto Show.

This SUV is peppered with unique, premium touches on exterior, being a perfect mix between minimalist and futuristic, with a very low drag coefficient of 0.279, and unique “Galaxy” headlights and “Starlight” taillights that have active pixel elements that animate to set itself apart.

The interior just showcases what the Chinese are capable of, with first-class amenities like fully adjustable, climate controlled Zero Gravity seats with adaptive dual armrests, a 25-speaker sound system, triple displays in front with even a roll-down projector screen for the rear passengers.
Other luxury amenities include ash wood trim, crystal elements around the cabin, a panoramic sunroof, an in-car refrigerator, and a fragrance system, on top of the real leather seats for seven people.

Powering the Aito M9 is a range-extender EV setup, with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system capable of 489 horsepower and 675Nm of torque.
It has a sizeable 52kWh battery that’s capable of traveling up to 200km on pure electric power, but is capable of exceeding 1,200km of combined range thanks to the range extender setup.

It is also full of cutting-edge safety and driving technologies, including LiDAR for the adaptive cruise control and a slew of sensors. It also achieved a “super” five star rating in the China New Car Safety Assessment Program.
Despite being a preview, pre-orders and reservations are open for the vehicle, with a showroom being found at the Seres Aito EDSA test drive center found at Primex Tower, Greenhills.
