MIAS 2025 | The Chery Tiggo ReV and Tiggo Grand Tour are the brand’s future

In what we think is an interesting move, Chery is moving away from the now industry-trend numerical vehicle naming scheme in its Tiggo lineup. Starting with the newly-launched Tiggo Cross, it follows with the brand’s two future models for our market.
Meet the Chery Tiggo ReV and Tiggo Grand Tour, two models that Chery Auto Philippines plans to bring to our market, and has previewed at the 20th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

Chery Tiggo ReV
This is the Chery Tiggo ReV C-DM. Shape looks familiar? That’s because it’s the latest update to the Tiggo 8 Pro e+ plug-in hybrid midsize SUV, its biggest one yet.

The front fascia is redesigned with a new set of headlights that flank a wide front grille that looks at home in a fully-electric vehicle. There’s new 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels, and a full-width LED light bar at the back. Also noticeable is the Chery Fulwin logos on the front and wheels.

The cabin is completely redesigned with sleeker and more sophisticated looks through the use of more straight lines matched with faux wood panels and a two-tone color scheme. The driver gets a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and most vehicle controls can be managed through the large 15.6-inch central touchscreen which comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also gets an eight-speaker Sony audio system.
We don’t have full details about this yet but its range-extended powertrain is composed of a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor combined with an 18.66kWh battery. It will be able to do up to 1,400km on a single charge and full tank of gas.
Pricing will be set at Php 1,648,000.We don’t have full details about this yet but its range-extended powertrain is composed of a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor combined with an 18.66kWh battery. It will be able to do up to 1,400km on a single charge and full tank of gas.

Chery Tiggo Grand Tour

The Chery Tiggo Grand Tour might look a bit familiar to those who know the Chery brand well. Despite being marketed as the brand’s MPV offering, it’s essentially the Tiggo 8 Pro midsize crossover.

That’s clearly visible in its overall look. It still gets the same LED headlights with L-shaped DRLs, 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, wraparound LED taillights, leather seat upholstery, seven-inch digital instrument cluster, and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It does however get a new front grille design.

Powering the Chery Tiggo Grand Tour is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Pricing starts at just Php 1,188,000 which allows this to compete directly with the likes of the Honda BR-V, Toyota Innova, and Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, just to name a few.
