MIAS 2025 | The Lynk & Co 02 is the brand’s first EV for Php 1.788M

Lynk & Co is a Sino-Swedish brand that sells style-forward vehicles distributed by the United Asia Automotive Group (UAAGI) in the Philippines, with electrified offerings such as the 01 PHEV.

Now, at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show, the automaker wants to further diversify its lineup by introducing the 02 EV, a compact full-electric crossover priced at Php 1,788,000.

Measuring 4,460mm long, 1,845mm wide, and 1,573mm tall with a wheelbase of 1,573mm, the 02 EV is perfect for the city and any occasional rough terrain, with a generous ground clearance of 191mm.

It might be a bit confusing because it looks very similar to an EV from Zeekr, but it makes more sense once you remember that the two are sister companies under the Geely Auto Group.

It comes with full LED lighting with “Dynamic Day Rays” daytime running lights and an illuminated rear spoiler, which is something we haven’t seen. It rides on two-tone 19-inch wheels and comes in four colors: Grid Grey, Crystal White, Palace Beige, and Cosmic Blue.

The cream-colored interior with leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and even a tinted panoramic glass roof above. It’s full of tech within, most accessible by the central 15.4-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay integration (Android Auto to follow), sound courtesy of a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and even an air purification system.

The Sustainable Experience Architecture underpinnings is shared with the likes of the Zeekr X, Smart #1, and the Volvo EX30. It has a rear-mounted electric motor with 272 horsepower and 343 Nm of torque, paired with a 66kWh lithium-ion battery capable of up to 435km of range on a single charge. It even has a very comprehensive advanced driver assistance system suite with “360-degree coverage”.

With the vehicle’s price, is this a very tempting alternative to other compact hybrid and electric offerings in the market?
