Mitsubishi Motors PH Quietly Gives Mirage and Montero Sport Upgrades for 2021
Are you planning to buy a Mitsubishi Mirage or Montero Sport soon? Well here’s some good news because Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has given two of its popular models some upgrades for 2021.
These upgrades were quietly added to the lineup of both models with no announcement made by MMPC. We found these out by taking a quick look at the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines website while updating our AutoPH Car Pricelist.
First, the lone Mitsubishi Mirage GLX hatchback gets new blacked-out 15-inch alloy wheels which share their design with the two-tone alloy wheels found on the GLS variant which was discontinued in 2019.
It also now comes with gloss-black side mirrors and a new tailgate spoiler. These upgrades will give it an overall sportier appearance. It is not known however when the heavily updated Mirage which is now available in other markets will make it into our country. The 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage gets a Php 5,000 increase over the 2020 model with a new starting price of Php 704,000, topping off at Php 765,000 for the automatic version.
The Mitsubishi Montero Sport also gets a minor upgrade for 2021. A 360-degree multi around-view monitor is now standard on GLS 2WD and GT 2WD variants. This feature was previously only available on the top-spec GT 4WD variant. Interestingly, pricing for both the GT 2WD and GLS 2WD both get lower with SRP’s of Php 1,928,000 and Php 1,728,000, respectively.
