Mitsubishi PH goes green with Outlander PHEV at Php 2.998M SRP (w/ spec sheet)
The Outlander nameplate is back in the country as Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has officially launched the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in the Philippine market. The company first confirmed the arrival of their first hybrid model in the country earlier this year.
Initially, the company’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in the world will start sales through Mitsubishi Motors Manila Bay which is operated by Peak Motors Philippines Inc. (PMPI). PMPI will also be the first dealership to install a Vehicle to Home (V2H) showcase facility to promote the Outlander PHEV’s function to restore and supply electricity generated by solar panels to home. Other provincial authorized dealerships namely, Fast Autoworld Philippines Corporation, SFM Sales Corporation, Motor Plaza Incorporated, Mindanao Integrated Commercial Enterprises Incorporated will start selling the Outlander PHEV by early 2021.

Powering the 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is a 2.4-liter 16-valve inline 4 cylinder DOHC MIVEC gasoline engine paired to a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. The gasoline engine has a maximum output of 126 hp and 199 Nm of torque. The twin-motor electric 4WD system delivers power and torque separately to the front and rear wheels. Maximum output for the front is 60kW and 70kW for the rear. Torque is at 137 Nm in front and 195 Nm for the rear. The Outlander PHEV has a driving range of 55 km with a full charge. Fuel consumption is also rated at 16.6 km/l.
Standard exterior features on the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV for the Philippines include LED headlights, daytime running lights and fog lights, LED combination taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, rear spoiler, power tailgate, and power sunroof. Inside, it gets leather seats, 4-way adjustable power driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Mitsubishi Power Sound System, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and bluetooth connectivity. The Outlander PHEV can also supply up to 1500W of power through two outlets which can charge both gadgets and even home appliances.
Standard safety features on the Outlander PHEV are 7 airbags, Active Yaw Control, Active Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, and Emergency Stop Lamp. It is also equipped with a host of driver-assistance features which are Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning and Lane Change Assist, Automatic High Beams, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Ultrasonic misaccleration Mitigation System.
The 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is priced at Php 2,998,000.
