Mitsubishi PH wants your first car to be a Mirage G4
With no end in sight for the COVID-19 pandemic, many people have resorted to purchasing their own cars to avoid having to take public transportation (and the lack thereof). This is where the subcompact sedan segment comes in. The different models in the segment are popular choices thanks to their rather affordable price tags.
One of the choices in the segment is the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) wants you to know why it’s a good choice for a first-time car buyer.
Simplicity
The Mirage G4 has a generally simple looking exterior. Despite that, it has a fun, compact, and aerodynamic exterior design that is complemented with sporty accents such as the dark chrome diamond cut front grille, 15-inch dark alloy wheels, and LED turn signals.
Efficiency
The Mirage G4 is powered by a Euro 4 compliant 1.2-liter three cylinder 12-valve DOHC gasoline engine with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control (MIVEC). Fuel economy can reach up to 23 kilometers per liter.
It is also equipped with a Keyless Operation System (KOS) which is more commonly known as Smart Entry with Push Button Start. The subcompact’s turning radius is rated at 4.8 meters making it easy to maneuver in the city. The trunk can also load up to 450 liters of cargo.
The Mirage G4 is equipped with courtesy lights. The front and rear position lights and interior light stay on for 30 seconds when the doors are unlocked using the vehicle’s key fob. This should make it easier to locate the car in a crowded parking lot. It is also equipped with Coming Home lights which keep some lights, including the headlights on, illuminating the path you will take from the vehicle. This is good especially in dark parking areas. The lights will stay on for 60 seconds then automatically switch off.
Interior
The Mirage G4 can fit up to 5 adults comfortably (4 with social distancing guidelines). Legroom is measured at 1,725 mm in the second row. It is also equipped with a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation, bluetooth, auxiliary, and USB connectivity.
Safety
MMPC prioritizes its customer’s safety above all. The Mirage G4 is equipped with dual SRS airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD).
Made in the Philippines
The Mirage G4 is built by MMPC in their manufacturing plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. It is also the company’s entry into the Philippine government’s Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) Program that aims to develop the country as an automotive manufacturing hub.
