Mitsubishi Motors Philippines’ Sales Grows 30% in December 2020
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is starting 2021 with good news from 2020. The Japanese brand finished 2020 strong with a 30% increase in retail sales last December. The number 2 automotive brand in the country raked in a total of 4,195 unit sales to close the year.
The company’s top-seller for the month was the Mitsubishi Xpander which garnered a total sales of 1,472 units, a 57% increase of sales versus the previous month. Following in 2nd is the Mitsubishi Montero Sport, the brand’s mid-size SUV offering. It finished the month with 957 units sold. At number three is the proudly Filipino made Mirage G4 which sold a total of 911 units.
It is interesting to note that despite its looming discontinuation of sales, the iconic Mitsubishi Pajero still gained a 147% increase in sales when compared to the previous month. The flagship SUV received a total sales of 47 units. The dependable workhorse Mitsubishi L300 also reflected a strong showing with 478 units sold, resulting in a 30% growth.
