2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC launches in PH, priced at Php 5.190M

Mercedes-Benz Philippines, under the distributorship of Auto Nation Group, Inc (ANG), has officially launched the all-new generation of the GLC, the brand’s entry into the premium compact crossover segment.
“The new GLC is a culmination of years of dedication, of passion and innovation by Mercedes-Benz engineers and designers. The new GLC is bigger, sleeker and sportier. The new GLC embraces it’s rough and ready personality in the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, and it promises an unparalleled driving experience, that blends power and efficiency like never before,” says Mr. Frankie Ang, Chief Operating Officer of ANG.

All-new and in its 2nd generation, the Mercedes-Benz GLC receives various upgrades inside and out and is available in one variant locally–the GLC200 4MATIC. The front fascia wears a sleeker and more rounded design akin to other new Mercedes-Benz products, while the rear looks sharper than the previous generation, with styling cues from the latest sedans from the three-pointed star. Meanwhile, its interior draws inspiration from the C-Class sedan which it is related to with a large center screen with a trio of vents on top.

Standard equipment include LED High Performance Headlights, LED taillights, 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, 11.9-inch central touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection, 15-speaker Burmester surround sound audio system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and 64-color ambient lighting, among others.

Powering the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC is a 2.0-liter Inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a EQ Boost 48-V Mild Hybrid system. In total, it produces 150 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, mated to a 9-speed 9G TRONIC automatic transmission. Mercedes-Benz says that it can go from 0-100 kph in 7.8 seconds with a top speed of 221 kph.

In terms of safety, among the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC’s features are Active Parking Assist with Parktronic and Active Brake Assist with Pedestrian Protection, as well as Guard 360.
