Here’s how much you can expect to spend on Jetour maintenance in PH

The thing with buying a vehicle from a brand which only very recently established a local presence in the market is that you wouldn’t know how the aftersales experience will be. That won’t be a problem though with Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. (JAPI) which gives us some information on what we can expect.

Buyers of any brand-new Jetour vehicle in the Philippines will be able to take advantage of 6-year Preventive Maintenance Service payment schedule of which the company says will be light to its customers’ budgets.

Jetour Auto Philippines aims to position its prices at very affordable rates for every Filipino to make car ownership a hassle-free experience,” says JAPI Aftersales Director, Eryx Guiang.

Through this structured service schedule, Jetour owners can plan their expenses based on the servicing needs of their vehicles. JAPI will be open with our service rates which will have reasonable pricing. Moreover,  PMS parts availability will be assured so that every JETOUR vehicle on the road will receive the care and attention needed for reliable and worry-free driving,” adds Guiang.

Jetour owners will only need to bring their vehicles to the dealership twice a year or every 5,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, for periodic maintenance service (PMS). The first year of Jetour ownership shows two servicing schedules at 5,000 and 10,000 km. A quick oil change is done at each service interval while yhe latter includes inspection of various car components. This should cost a little more than Php 8,000.

At the 20,000 km interval, PMS will include the replacement of spark plugs, the cabin filter, Automatic Transmission Fluid, coolant, and other fluids. The 15,000 and 20,000 km service interval should cost around Php 15,000.

By the third year of ownership, or as the vehicle reaches 25,000 and 30,000 km, PMS should cost around Php 8,000. At year four, or at the 35,000 and 40,000-km service marks, PMS is expected to cost around Php 18,000. This amount covers the oil change costs and the serpentine belt replacement. This essential component ensures the engine’s various accessories and ancillaries work in sync with the combustion process.

In the fifth year of ownership, costs is to go back down to around Php 8,000, at 45,000 and 50,000 km. Finally, in the sixth year of ownership, along with the oil changes, comes the replacement of the spark plugs and cabin filter and the replacement of the ATF and various fluids at the 60,000-km interval.

In total, it would cost around Php 75,000, or a little over Php 1,000 per month to pay for preventive maintenance of a Jetour vehicle. Parts and labor costs may vary over the years and depending on the dealership location but it’s good to know what to expect. Also, other wear and tear parts are not included in JAPI’s computations.

What do you think? Will Jetour’s lower cost of maintenance sway you to go and purchase one of their models?
