All-new Toyota Wigo to launch in PH on July 14 with Php 609K starting price

Toyota Motor Philippines is moving non-stop this year. Less than a month after launching its new addition to its local MPV lineup, the Zenix, the Japanese automaker announces the launch of the all-new second generation Wigo this month.

Making its first appearance for the Indonesian market earlier this year, the all-new Toyota Wigo will make its Philippine debut this coming July 14, 2023 at the Trinoma Activity Center, with retail sales starting a few days later on July 17, 2023.

Now riding on the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) platform which also underpins the Toyota Avanza, Raize, Veloz, and upcoming new Vios, the 2024 Toyota Wigo, or Agya as it is known in Indonesia, gets a sportier exterior and an improved interior, as well as some changes to its powertrain.

For the Philippines, the all-new Wigo will be available in three (3) variants: J M/T, E CVT, and G CVT. TMP has also announced pricing for each which are as follows:

  • J M/T – Php 609,000
  • E CVT – Php 684,000
  • G CVT – Php 729,000

While TMP has not announced full specifications and features of the all-new Wigo, a couple can already be found on their website including 14-inch alloy wheels on all variants, and a 1DIN audio system for the base J variant. E and G variants get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while exclusive to the latter is smart keyless entry and push button start.

All variants of the all-new Toyota Wigo will also be powered by the same 1.0-liter KR-VE Inline 3-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 66 horsepower and 89 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission on the J variant, or a new continuously variable transmission (CVT) on the E and G variants.

That’s all we have for now but at least we don’t have to wait too long as again, Toyota Motor Philippines will officially be launching the all-new Wigo this coming July 14 at the Trinoma Activity Center in Quezon City. It will also be displayed there until July 16, with retail sales starting on July 17.
