Honda Cars PH to launch updated Brio alongside refreshed City

Well it looks like Honda Cars Philippines is going all out this month as they’re introducing not one, but two updated models this July 13, 2023. After confirming the upcoming launch of the refreshed Honda City last week, as well as providing us some initial specifications and features, the Japanese automaker this time confirmed the introduction of the updated Honda Brio small hatchback, happening on the same day.

For this update, the current generation Honda Brio’s first since it was introduced locally in 2019, it receives a couple of aesthetic changes to keep it fresh, especially with the all-new version of its rival, the Toyota Wigo, arriving a day after.

Unlike with the new Honda City where they gave us plenty of information, HCPI is quiet on what the new Honda Brio will be getting here.

At least based on the Indonesian market where we source our local units, we can expect it to have new grille designs, sportier front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheel designs, an updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and push button start.

We can also expect the updated Honda Brio to remain powered by a 1.2-liter Inline 4-cylinder SOHC i-VTEC gasoline engine that produces 90 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or Earth Dreams CVT.

Like the refreshed Honda City, the Honda Brio will be launched at the Mega Fashion Hall of SM Megamall again on July 13, 2023. Both will also be displayed there until July 16, 2023. We’ll have to wait until then to get full specifications and pricing.
