Ford PH sales grow by 55% in 1H 2023
Ford Philippines is definitely enjoying the benefits of having a fresh lineup after delivering strong retail performance in the first half of 2023.
The blue oval saw a 55% increase in sales for the first half of this year compared to the same period in 2022. Topping its charts are the Ranger pickup truck, Territory compact SUV, and Everest midsize SUV.
The Ford Ranger continues to be the top-selling vehicle in the American automaker’s local lineup with 5,436 units sold this year, a 25% increase compared to the same period last year. The introduction of the much-anticipated Ranger Raptor last May also contributed to that increase with close to 600 units already sold since its launch.
On the other hand, the Ranger’s SUV sibling, the Everest, is the brand’s third bestseller with 3,786 units finding homes. That’s a whopping 503% increase compared to last year.
In between the two is the Ford Territory which received a new generation version last April. Including sales of the previous generation, it saw a total of 4,493 units sold with more than half of that being the new one. This also makes it the top-selling model in the compact SUV segment.
“These milestones testify to our commitment to enhance the Ford ownership experience with vehicles and services that our customers need and deserve,” shares Mike Breen, Managing Director of Ford Philippines. “We celebrate these milestones with our customers who continue to patronize the Ford brand, as well as with our dealers for their partnership and commitment to enhance the customer experience. We are truly energized and excited for what’s to come for the second half of the year.”
With strong reception in the past 6 months, here’s to hoping that Ford Philippines is able to sustain it over the rest of the year.
