Updated Toyota Corolla Altis GR-S now in PH with some upgrades

All the hype right now is on the all-new Toyota Yaris Cross but that’s not all that Toyota Motor Philippines has brought in. At the sidelines of its launch, the Japanese automaker has also shown-off the updated version of the Corolla Altis GR Sport (GR-S).
First released in Thailand last month, the updated Corolla Altis GR-S gets a handful upgrades to its equipment list. These should keep it fresh in the segment which it shares with only a few other models.

While it remains largely identical and mostly unchanged compared to the previous version, the Corolla Altis GR-S, gets a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels, red interior accents, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 360-degree around-view monitor, and a wireless phone charger.

Everything else remains the same including its gasoline and gasoline-hybrid powertrain options, and other equipment. Pricing also remains unchanged as of today with the Corolla Altis lineup priced as follows:
- 1.6 E CVT – Php 1,054,000
- 1.6 G CVT – Php 1,130,000
- 1.6 V GR-S CVT – Php 1,302,000
- 1.8 GR-S Hybrid CVT – Php 1,665,000
Are these small changes enough for you to pick the Toyota Corolla Altis GR-S over its rivals like the Honda Civic RS Turbo and GAC Empow GE?
