Audi PH launches electric flagship Q8 e-tron

PGA Cars, Inc., the official distributor of Audi vehicles in the Philippines has introduced the latest version of one of its fully electric vehicle (EV) models, in line with the German luxury automaker’s global electrification strategy.

Formerly known simply as the e-tron, the Q8 e-tron is a full EV midsize crossover that comes in two variants here in our market—the 50 and 55. The German luxury automaker also showcased the model’s capabilities at the Audi Driving Experience event held in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) over the weekend.

In terms of design, the Q8 e-tron follows Audi’s current design language with an aggressive front fascia with soft lines, and a large grille which now houses the latest 2D version of the iconic four rings Audi logo. The rear features wraparound LED taillights with a light bar. The interior remains largely the same as the previous e-tron with minor trim changes.

The Q8 e-tron 50 differentiates itself from the 55 with silver-trimming on the former’s grille, and gloss black on the latter, both also come with an LED light strip. Other standard equipment includes Audi’s MMI touchscreen systems featuring dual screens with the main screen at 10.1-inches and the lower one at 8.6-inches.

Powering the Audi Q8 e-tron are choices of two electric motor versions. The 50 variant gets a 95 kWh battery pack that produces an output of 335 horsepower and 664 Nm of torque, with a driving range of 491 km. The 55 on the other hand gets a larger 114 kWh battery pack, making 408 horsepower and also 664 Nm of torque, with a driving range of 582 km.

It makes use of a Type 2 charger which means that it is compatible with most EV charging stations in the country. It’s also good to note that the Audi Q8 e-tron is capable of wading through water with a depth of around 500 mm.

The Audi Q8 e-tron is now available at all PGA Cars Audi dealers in the country.
