Astara and GAC Motor PH appoint new executives
As Astara Philippines and the automotive brands it distributes in the market, Peugeot and GAC, continue to expand, they have appointed new executives in key positions. The announcement was made last week in a press release sent to us.
Franz Decloedt, the former marketing director of the company, has been promoted to the position of brand head for GAC Motor Philippines. He has over 20 years of experience handling marketing for different automotive brands such as Volkswagen and Kia, as well as other FMCG industries, prior to his joining Astara earlier this year.
He will also temporarily oversee sales and marketing directions for Peugeot Philippines until a new brand head is appointed for the French automaker. It hasn’t been officially announced but former brand head Maricar Parco has already left the company. It is still unknown if she will be moving to another automotive brand.
Meanwhile, taking over the position of marketing director for Astara Philippines is Timmy Naval-de Leon. Ms. Timmy, as fondly called by industry friends, is an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience working with brands such as Isuzu; and most recently Volkswagen, Kia, Maxus, and BYD all under AC Motors.
