Here are the results of the 2023 TGR Vios Cup Leg 2

It was another action-packed weekend at the Clark International Speedway (CIS) in Clark, Pampanga as Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) held the second leg of the Toyota GAZOO Racing (TGR) Vios Cup 2023 last September 9, 2023.

The TGR Vios Cup is TMP’s longest-running one-make-race series making use of the Toyota Vios, the most popular vehicle model sold in the Philippines for many years.

CIS came alive with loud cheers from fans on the stands and the sound of engines revving. Racing fans from around country watched together on the bleachers and virtually over the online livestream, to root for their favorite racers in the Circuit Championship and Autocross Challenge

Across the three categories of the Circuit Championship—Promotional, Sporting and Super Sporting, racers gave a heart-stopping show from start to finish. Emerging as the victor after all the exhilaration of the Promotional class was Jarond Mesina of Toyota Team Cebu, followed by Alain Alzona of Toyota General Santos and Chooks to Go Racing Team and Bong Garbes of Inbox-Toyota San Fernando in second and third places, respectively.

Meanwhile for Sporting Class, Jiro Garbes of Inbox-Toyota San Fernando dominated in the Sporting class with Russel Cabrera of Toyota Team Cebu and Maila Alivia of JBT Racing Team-Toyota Isabela followed in second and third places.

In the Sporting Media Class, C! Magazine’s Wowie Go came out as champion with Ronald Delos Reyes of Philippine Daily Inquirer and Autocar Philippines’ John Rey San Diego in second and third places, respectively.

Newcomer Ezra Domingo got his first podium after grabbing the first spot in the Sporting Influencer Class, where he was followed by Bianca Yao and Genesis Redido in second and third places. In the Sporting Class, Reph Bangsil reclaimed the first spot after his few years of TGR Vios Cup hiatus. Miggy Romulo followed in second with Lexi Mendiola in third.

Meanwhile, seasoned racers Milo Rivera and Jose Altoveros, along with Toyota GAZOO Racing Philippines Ambassador, Marlon Stockinger, joined together for a special Autocross Challenge featuring the Toyota Corolla Altis GR-S HEV as their race car, to which Milo Rivera was hailed champion.

As usual, TMP also showcased their Gazoo Racing lineup with the Toyota GR 86, GR Yaris and GR Supra on display at the event. The GR Sport (GR-S) lineup was also showcased with the Toyota Fortuner GR-S and Rush GR-S also on display.
