Changan Auto PH launches X7 Plus with Php 1.580M SRP

The Changan brand has just been relaunched once again in the Philippine market. Now under the distributorship of Inchcape Philippines, Changan Auto Philippines held its official brand launch on September 30, 2023. There they also introduced their newest SUV offering, the Changan X7 Plus.

Produced under Changan’s Oshan sub-brand, the X7 Plus first made its debut at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show, and received a facelift in 2021 which is what we are getting here. It takes the place of the CS95 in the local lineup, and is set to compete with the likes of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro and Geely Okavango, among others.

In terms of design, the Changan X7 Plus takes on a different approach compared to the brand’s other offerings with its more elegant styling. Front and center is a diamond-patterned front grille flanked by a split headlight design. The side profile makes use of straight lines for a cleaner look while the rear features a full-width LED lightbar. Inside, the Changan X7 Plus continues with its elegant theme with the multi-tier dashboard design finished in soft touch materials, piano black, and brushed metal. As with many vehicles today, it features a dual-screen setup for a more modern look and feel.

Standard equipment are matrix LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, power-adjustable side mirrors with heating function, 19-inch turbine-style alloy wheels, panoramic glass roof, LED taillights, leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, felt carpet, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch LCD instrument cluster, 4-speaker audio system, automatic climate control, and 6-way power-adjustable driver seat.

Powering the Changan X7 Plus is a 1.5-liter Bluecore Inline 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 188 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. If that sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the same engine you can find in the Changan CS55 Plus and Changan Uni-T.

Safety isn’t forgotten with standard anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, traction control system, electronic stability program, hill hold control, hill descent control, 360-degree around-view monitor with digital video recorder, and a tire pressure monitoring system. It also gets autonomous emergency braking and dynamic radar (adaptive) cruise control.

The Changan X7 Plus is now available in at all 20 Changan dealerships nationwide for a suggested retail price of Php 1,580,000. An introductory discount of Php 50,000 is also being offered effectively pricing it at Php 1,530,000.
