Mitsubishi to unveil new electric MPV concept at JMS 2023
The 2023 edition of the Japan Mobility Show is upon us. Formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show and happening at the Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo, Japan starting this coming October 25, 2023, it is the largest motor show event in the “land of the rising sun.”
For that, various brands are preparing left and right, and among that is Mitsubishi Motors which is set to unveil a brand new electric crossover MPV concept that they say “will awaken the adventurous spirit of drivers and expand their horizons.”
According to a release by Mitsubishi Motors, their new electrified crossover MPV concept car will combine the road handling of an SUV with the comfort and user-friendliness of an MPV. It will be based on the concept of Borderless Adventure, and will feature a spacious cabin with a sense of openness, as well as offer the cruising range and driving performance to handle all kinds of adventures.
It will also have high ground clearance and an electric four-wheel drive system that allows the large-diameter tires to grip the ground and perform exactly as the driver intends regardless of weather or road conditions.
That’s not all Mitsubishi has for guests and customers at the show though as they will also be showcasing an additional nine vehicles comprising of the Last 1 mile Mobility concept vehicle, the Japanese-spec Triton pickup truck which will make its debut together with its rally car version, Delica D:5 support car, Outlander PHEV, Delica D:5, Eclipse Cross PHEV, Delica Mini, and eK X EV.
