Mitsubishi Motors PH to do virtual preview of all-new Triton on Oct 20

Its launch may still be slated a few months away from now, specifically next year, but Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) seems very excited for the local introduction of the all-new Triton.

The Japanese automaker is set to preview the successor of the current generation Mitsubishi Strada pickup truck this coming Friday, October 20, through a video livestream on its official Facebook page.

Revealed to the world last July 2023, the Mitsubishi Triton is completely new from the ground up, riding on a new platform with a new chassis, powered by a new engine, featuring new technology, and having a complete redesign inside and out.

Like the XRT Concept it’s based on, the Triton gets a more athletic, muscular, rugged, and tough appearance overall with its boxier shape and use of more straight lines, following the “Beast Mode” design concept. And inside, where the previous generation definitely didn’t age well, the all-new Triton finally gets a more modern and premium interior. The horizontal line theme continues here.

As mentioned, the all-new Triton also gets a new engine. That is a 2.4-liter 4N16 Inline 4-cylinder MIVEC turbo diesel engine with Mitsubishi’s Clean Diesel technology. It produces 204 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission.

More information about what we can expect from the all-new Mitsubishi Triton can be found here.

The livestream of the all-new Mitsubishi Triton’s preview for the Philippine market will happen on October 20, 2023, 6:00 PM, on the official Mitsubishi Motors Facebook page.
