TCCCI is now official PH distributor of KG Mobility
The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the current distributor of Chevrolet and Volvo vehicles, and former distributor of MG vehicles in the Philippines, is adding a new brand to its portfolio. The company is bringing in South Korean automaker KG Mobility with the establishment of KG Mobility Philippines (KGM PH).
The distributorship agreement between TCCCI and KG Mobility was formalized in Q3 2023 with the brand expected to formally launch by the first quarter of 2024.
“The establishment of KG Mobility Philippines is yet another testament to the ongoing partnership between both The Philippines and Korea. The Covenant Car Company Inc. is very pleased to offer our discerning Filipino car buyers these innovative, safe, and modern automobiles from KG Mobility. We are optimistic that the local motoring public will respond positively to our portfolio of product offerings, and we are likewise eager to grow KGM PH into a household name for expertly crafted, reliable, Korean-made automobiles,” says Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia Jr., Chairman of the board of TCCCI.
Established in 1954 as SsangYong Motor Company, KG Mobility dubs itself as a premier Korean SUV manufacturer and specialist. Its initial product lineup in the market will be composed of five (5) models which will be introduced starting this month.
These five models are the familiar nameplates of Tivoli and Tivoli Grand crossovers, Rexton midsize SUV, and Musso Grand pickup truck. Also joining the lineup is the Torres compact SUV. All of them will come with a 5-year or 100,000 kilometer vehicle warranty.
TCCCI also forecasts that it will have twelve (12) dealerships up and running by the end of 2024.
KG Mobility was formerly known as SsangYong. The Korean brand has had a presence in the Philippines over the last couple of years under Berjaya Motor Philippines.
