Nissan Ariya to make first PH appearance at MIAS 2024
Nissan Philippines is no stranger to electrification having introduced the fully-electric LEAF back in 2021, and the electrified Kicks e-POWER in 2022. It looks like they’re set to expand this green lineup further soon.
The Japanese automaker announced on its official social media pages that the Nissan Ariya EV will be making an appearance at the upcoming 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). While it won’t be launched yet, it gives us an idea of what to expect from the brand’s electrification strategy for our market.
The Nissan Ariya was revealed about four years ago as the Japanese automaker’s first electric crossover. On the outside, it wears Nissan’s Timeless Japanese Futurism design language, giving it a striking yet minimalistic look. Same goes with the interior with its simple lines and elegant styling.
Powering the Nissan Ariya is a 352-volt 91kWh lithium-ion battery, paired to dual 45 kW electric motors both with 218 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, each. It can drive for up to 560 kilometers on a full charge.
It also comes equipped with Nissan’s ProPILOT 2.0 semi-autonomous driving system, as well as the Nissan Safety Shield complete suite of advanced-driver assist systems.
The upcoming preview will not be the first time we’ll be seeing the Nissan Ariya in the metal as Nissan Philippines already brought us for a test drive of the electric crossover during a trip to their home country of Japan last year. This was already a sign of its impending arrival, and with the local preview happening, we’re getting even closer.
The 2024 Manila International Auto Show is happening at the World Trade Center Metro Manila and SMX Convention Center, both in Pasay City, starting this April 4 (Thursday), until April 7, 2024 (Sunday).
