Mitsubishi Motors PH welcomes its new president

A change of guard has just occured over at Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC). The Japanese automaker’s local counterpart has just welcomed its new president.

Taking over from outgoing President & CEO Takeshi Hara is Ritsu Imaeda. Prior to his appointment to MMPC, Imaeda-san handled various markets in regions such as Europe, Russia, and Puerto Rico. Most recently, he was President & CEO of Puerto Rico-based Mitsubishi Motors Sales Caribbean, Inc.

Under the leadership of Hara-san, MMPC was able to fight through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic which was still greatly affecting the local market upon his appointment.

The company’s Life Made Better and Taralets Pinas campaigns were also launched during his tenure, while the updated Mirage G4, Xpander and Xpander Cross, as well as the all-new Triton, were introduced to the market.

The Mitsubishi Xforce was unveiled at last year’s Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIAAS).

As for what we can expect under Imaeda-san’s leadership, first would be the local introduction of the Xforce which is the Japanese automaker’s new subcompact crossover. It is said to be launching locally by June of this year.
