Jeep Philippines brings in upgraded Wrangler Unlimited Sport for Php 4.790M
Jeep Philippines, under the distributorship of Inchcape Philippines, is giving its most iconic and popular model, the Wrangler, a refresh with the reintroduction of the entry-level 4-Door Unlimited Sport variant for the 2024 model year.
The current generation Jeep Wrangler is known as the JL. Revealed in 2017, it was launched in the Philippines in 2019. The refreshed version you’re seeing here was revealed for the North American market last year, and saw its ASEAN debut in Thailand in March 2024. Better late than never.
Blink and you’ll miss the exterior changes as they are quite subtle. The front fascia is a bit sleeker with smoked LED headlights and LED daytime running lights now standard, as well as a larger implementation of the brand’s signature seven-slot grille. It also rides on new 17-inch gray alloy wheels wrapped in 245/75 all-terrain tires. Wrapping up the exterior changes are standard LED taillights.
The biggest changes can be seen on the inside where there is a new center stack layout. The infotainment screen is now much larger at 12.3-inches, runs on the UConnect 5 system, and comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Meanwhile, the center climate vents have been repositioned below the screen. This gives the Wrangler’s dashboard a sleeker and more modern appearance.
Materials have also been upgraded in the Unlimited Sport with new soft-touch fabric and polyurethane surfaces matched with contrast stitching replacing the hard-touch plastic surfaces on the pre-refresh version.
Other standard stuff you’ll find here are fabric seats, a 7-inch TFT display for the driver, heating function for the front seats and steering wheel, and a 9-speaker Alpine premium audio system.
Still powering the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport is a 2.0-liter turbocharged Inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine that makes 268 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
It also gets Jeep’s Selec-Trac Full-Time 4WD System matched with a Dana M186 Front Axle, Dana M200 Rear Axle, Conventional Differential Front Axle with Disconnect, Conventional Differential Rear Axle, Transmission Skid Plate, Transfer Case Skid Plate Shield, and Fuel Tank Skid Plate, for extra capability and protection when driving off-road.
Safety has also been improved on the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport as it now gets Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, and Full Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, among other standard safety features.
The new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport is priced at Php 4,790,000 which is quite an increase compared to the older version’s Php 3.890-million SRP. The first 50 owners of this refreshed version will also get a free set of half-doors.
