Vietnam’s VinFast to make PH launch on May 31

Our market is definitely spoiled for choices as we’ve already lost count of the new automotive brands, especially those from China, that have entered the Philippine market over the past few months. Here’s a breath of fresh air though.

Come May 31, 2024, another new brand is set to enter the local automotive scene and this time, it’s from Vietnam, not from China. VinFast, a relatively young automotive brand, is coming to the Philippines. The Vietnamese automaker was founded in 2017 and is the first car brand from our ASEAN neighbor to expand to foreign markets such as the United States, Canada, Europe, Indonesia, and Thailand. 

Its entry will be marked by the introduction of a fully-electric lineup composed of four- and two-wheeled vehicles (both motorcycles and bicycles). These are already confirmed to include the VF e34, VF 5, VF 7, and VF 9, six electric motorcycle models, and the VF DrgnFly electric bike.

Again, the brand launch of VinFast in the Philippines will be held on May 31, 2024. A public launch will also follow on June 1-2, 2024 with test drives of the VF e34, V5, and VF DrgnFly available for the general public as well.
