NLEX, SFEX to implement toll fee increase starting June 4, 2024
Users of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Subic Freeport Expressway (SFEX) will need to shell out additional budget when taking those expressways as the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the implementation of toll rate increases.
This is the second and final tranche of toll rate adjustments for the NLEX Corporation’s consolidated 2018 and 2020 petitions, and will be implemented starting June 4, 2024.
With that, users of NLEX and SFEX will pay the following additional toll fees:
- Open System (NLEX Balintawak to Marilao) – Php 5 for Class 1, Php 14 for Class 2, Php 17 for Class 3
- Closed System (Per km/rate) (NLEX Marilao to Sta. Ines) – Php 21 for Class 1, Php 54 for Class 2, Php 65 for Class 3
- Closed System (SFEX) – Php 2 for Class 1, Php 7 for Class 2, Php 8 for Class 3
- End to end (Balintawak/C3/Mindanao Avenue to Sta. Ines) – Php 27 for Class 1, Php 68 for Class 2, Php 81 for Class 3
Most affected by these toll fee increases are regular users of these expressways. Hopefully the increased rates do go to a better experience when driving on them.
