VinFast electrifies its way into PH with an all-electric lineup
The number of Chinese automakers that entered our market in the last few years has been growing non-stop, with a couple more set to enter in the coming months or years. With that, here’s something refreshing—a new Vietnamese brand.
VinFast, a relatively young automotive and motorcycle brand, has officially launched in our market today, bringing with it a handful of fully-electric crossovers, motorcycles, and a bicycle.
The company was founded in 2017 and is the first car and motorcycle brand to export vehicles from Vietnam to markets like the United States, Canada, Europe, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Its initial lineup is composed of four electric crossovers—VF e34, VF 5, VF 7, and VF 9, with the VF 3 coming at a later date; five electric scooters—Evo 200, Feliz S, Klara S, Theon S, and Vento S; and the VF DrgnFly electric bicycle. The aforementioned two-wheeled models will also come at a later date.
More details about these models will be available in a separate write-up which you can read here.
VinFast Philippines’ models will initially be available at six dealerships with four of them already signed. Of the four, three are in Metro Manila while one is in Iloilo City. The first dealerships are targeted to open before the end of June 2024 with unit deliveries set to begin by the third quarter of the year.
In terms of aftersales, customers will be able to enjoy a warranty of between seven to 10 years on VinFast vehicles. A battery subscription policy will also be offered where customers can get a free battery replacement and maintenance program if the battery capacity falls below 70%.
If you’re curious about these VinFast electric vehicles, the entire lineup is available on display and for test drive at the SM Mall of Asia this weekend (May 31 to June 2, 2024).
Would you consider a VinFast vehicle as your next purchase?
