Hyundai teases electric Casper, to be called the Inster

While we’re still waiting on whether Hyundai Motor Philippines will launch the Casper mini crossover locally or not, the Korean automaker is already preparing for an electric version.

To be called the Inster, Hyundai says that the name is derived from intimate and innovative. It will also be the global version of the Casper as it is a Korea-exclusive as of this writing.

Hyundai hasn’t revealed that much information about the Inster but the Korean automaker says that its electric motor and battery will have an estimated driving range of 355 kilometers on a single charge based on the WLTP cycle, and “will set new standards in terms of driving range, technology, and safety features.”

Also based on the teaser images and as expected, it looks a lot like the Casper with its signature LED daytime running lights and pixel graphic turn signals and taillights, the latter two setting it apart from its ICE-powered sibling.

The Hyundai Inster will make its global debut at the upcoming Busan International Motor Show (BIMOS) which is happening on June 27 to July 7, 2024. Do you think Hyundai Motor Philippines should offer the Inster as an entry-level EV?
