Updated Isuzu D-MAX makes PH debut with 12 variants, Php 938K starting price
A couple of weeks after its arrival here in the Philippine market was teased, the refreshed Isuzu D-MAX has officially been launched.
Initially revealed for the Thai market last year, this refresh is the midsize pickup truck’s second since its current generation arrived in the Philippines in 2021. With this being the biggest update to the Isuzu D-MAX so far, it gets several styling changes on the outside, as well as some technological advancements.
The exterior of the 2024 Isuzu D-MAX receives the bulk of changes, wearing a new front face with softer lines rather than the sharp lines on the pre-facelift version. The headlights are more aggressive with a new shape and cluster design, while the bumper is more angular with new air curtains on the left and right.
The front grille is also larger and more modern, with a more subtle double fang design while the side features new overfenders in addition to new alloy wheel designs. Towards the back are new taillight clusters with a three-level L-shaped design.
Its interior remains largely the same as before. New is a 7-inch digital instrument cluster on higher variants, and its 10-inch infotainment system has been updated with wireless Apple CarPlay in addition to Android Auto. The seats have also been given a new pattern on variants with leather seats.
Features on the different variants of the 2024 Isuzu D-MAX include:

Under the hood of the updated Isuzu D-MAx are the same turbodiesel powertrains as before. First is a 1.9-liter RZ4E engine that puts out 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, while the second is a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX engine that produces 190 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Both engines can be had with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission depending on the variant.
All 4×4 variants come with a differential lock and different Rough Terrain Modes. And yes, that includes the top-spec LS-E 4×4 A/T variant which was formerly criticized for the lack of such feature.
Safety has also been updated with its advanced driver-assist system (ADAS) getting a new stereoscopic camera which now allows it to have pedestrian detection. In addition, Isuzu has also added reverse automatic braking to the list of safety features. LS-A and up variants also now come with a 360-degree around-view camera.
