Zeekr enters PH market with two premium EV crossovers

Amid tensions with China in Philippine territorial waters, another new Chinese automaker has officially entered the market a few months after first announcing its local arrival under the Autohub Group. Say hello to Zeekr which brings with it two new premium fully-electric vehicles.

Zeekr is a premium EV brand, owned by the Geely Holding Group, the parent company of the Geely brand which has seen much success in the market since it re-entered the market in 2019. The brand was founded in 2021 and will be offering in our market the 001 shooting brake and X compact crossover.

Details are still scarce for both models but the Zeekr 001 will be available in two variants—Long Range and Privilege.

Among its features are matrix LED headlights, 22-inch wheels, a 15.4-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats with massage function, a Yamaha Surround Sound premium audio system, and an automatic air suspension.

Powering the Zeekr 001 is a high-performance permanent magnet synchronous electric motor paired to a 100 kWh battery. It produces a total of 544 horsepower and 686 Nm of torque, and goes from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.8 seconds, with an estimated driving range of up to 620 kilometers.

Charging the electric motor and battery can be done via 22 kWh AC charging or 150 kWh DC fast charging.

Meanwhile, details are also limited for the Zeekr X, but this compact crossover will also be getting two variants which are Premium and Privilege.

Features for this include a microfiber headliner, Ice Block ambient lighting, a 13-speaker Yamaha Surround Sound system, panoramic glass roof, and a 24.3-inch augmented reality heads-up display (AR-HUD), among others.

Like the Zeekr 001, powering the Zeekr X is also a high-performance permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, but paired to a smaller 66 kWh battery. It produces 428 horsepower and 686 Nm of torque, and can also go from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.8 seconds. Driving range is estimated at 440 kilometers.

Charging for the Zeekr X can be done via 11 kWh AC charging on the Premium variant, while the Privilege allows for 22 kWh AC charging. Both can also be charged with up to 200 kWh DC fast charging.

Pricing for the Zeekr 001 is set at Php 3,625,000 for the Long Range, and Php 4,200,000 for the Privilege. As for the Zeekr X, it’s set at Php 2,600,000 for the Premium, and Php 3,000,000 for the Privilege.

The first Zeekr dealership in the country is set to begin operations soon, located at 32nd Street corner Rizal Drive in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, adjacent to other Autohub operated dealerships.
