It’s officially official! The new Mitsubishi Xforce is now available in the country as Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) launches it today.

The Mitsubishi Xforce is the Japanese automaker’s newest subcompact crossover offering, filling in the gap in the brand’s lineup which was previously occupied by the ASX prior to its discontinuation a couple of years ago.

Two variants are available for the Philippines—the 1.5 GLS CVT and 1.5 GT CVT. They are priced as follows:

  • 1.5 GLS CVT – Php 1,367,000
  • 1.5 GT CVT – Php 1,581,000

When it comes to design, the Mitsubishi Xforce wears an evolved version of the brand’s Dynamic Shield signature design language, following the design concept of Silky & Solid. It also combines sleek and muscular design cues throughout its exterior.

The interior is likewise sleek, following the Horizontal Axis Concept. It’s visibly more upmarket and tech-filled compared to other Mitsubishi products with a special mélange fabric material on the dashboard, and screens for various vehicle information.

The Mitsubishi Xforce is also the first vehicle to feature a Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium eight-speaker audio system. This new sound system is the first-ever designed by Yamaha for an automotive product and features different sound modes—Lively, Signature, Powerful, and Relaxing.

Under the hood of the Mitsubishi Xforce is a familiar engine. That’s the Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross’s 1.5-liter 4A91 Inline 4-cylinder DOHC MIVEC gasoline engine that produces 105 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. For the Xforce, it is exclusively mated to a CVT

In terms of safety, the GT variant comes equipped with advanced driver-assist systems. These are Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Mitigation System, Leading Car Departure Notification, Blind Spot Warning System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Automatic High Beam.

For those interested in the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce, MMPC will be having a public display and test drive at the SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City until July 7, 2024 (Sunday). And of course, it’s already available at all Mitsubishi Motors dealerships nationwide.
