The all-new Y63 Nissan Patrol is set for a September 4 reveal
The current generation Nissan Patrol (codenamed the Y62) was first unveiled way back in 2010, making it 14 years old today. We won’t have to wait too long anymore for the new generation version though as it is set to make its global debut this coming September 4, 2024.
To be codenamed as the Y63, the new generation Patrol will be the seventh in the nameplate’s more than 70 years of history and will replace the Y62 which has gained more popularity in recent years, especially with supply chain issues hounding its direct and more popular rival, the Toyota Land Cruiser.
A microsite has been opened on the Nissan Dubai website where the company will slowly be revealing details as we move closer to the reveal date. And while there are no shadowy teaser photos that we can enhance to see how the new model looks, they did already show a couple of things.
The first photo is of the SUV covered, showing its massive size and similar silhouette as its Infiniti QX80 sibling which was unveiled a few months ago. It is also confirmed that the all-new Patrol will continue to wear Nissan’s V-Motion grille which was fully revealed on the website. While it does not have a V-shape like the current line of the Japanese automaker’s models, it gets a sleeker and more aerodynamic design as well as a honeycomb pattern.
We also know based on the teaser that the all-new Patrol will come with a 360-degree Around-view Monitor like the current generation and most of the Nissan lineup as the Nissan logo on the teaser image shows a front camera.
That’s all we have for now. Nissan did say that they will be revealing more information every Thursday until the all-new Patrol’s official unveiling. We’re surely excited for this new full-size SUV.
