ICYMI: The Mitsubishi Xpander now has a larger touchscreen, new exterior paint job
When the Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross in their current facelifted forms were launched in 2022 and 2023 respectively, they brought several updates to make themselves even more modern and techy than they already were compared to their rivals. Buyers were not happy with one thing though and that was their infotainment screens.
Both came with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. While it was definitely a huge step-up especially with them finally having Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and better usability, buyers wanted the larger touchscreen that other markets got.
Well Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) has listened and has given customers exactly that as both now come with a larger 9-inch touchscreen system. Like the smaller screen, it comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and is paired to a six-speaker audio system.
Do note that for the Xpander, this is exclusive to the GLS variant. The GLX trims still get the smaller 7-inch screen.
This has actually been the case since the 2024 Manila International Auto Show back in April where MMPC showcased the Xpander Cross featuring the larger screen as well as a new Green Bronze Metallic exterior paint job.
And speaking of the new paint job, for the Xpander it is exclusive to the GLS variant while it is now a regular option on the Xpander Cross. This color was previously only available on the Xpander Cross Outdoor Edition.
We’re not sure if prices have increased due to this small but big update, but here’s how the lineup looks like now:
- Xpander 1.5 GLX M/T – Php 1,068,000
- Xpander 1.5 GLX A/T – Php 1,128,000
