Carlos Yulo receives his brand-new Land Cruiser Prado from Toyota Motor PH

As you may already know by now, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is gifting two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo with his very own Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (250-series) in recognition of his milestone at the 2024 Olympics which was held in Paris, France.

He’s now driving-in-style as the Japanese automaker has officially turned-over his brand-new SUV at an event held at the company’s manufacturing plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna today led by TMP President Masando Hashimoto and Vice Chairman Dr. David Go.

Carlos Yulo received his White Pearl Mica-painted unit of the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250, which he personally selected. 

“I know this gift isn’t just about me. It’s about this community that has been cheering me on. Toyota, I am so grateful to be a part of your team, this leading brand, this community, and I hope that this gift will inspire others to also chase their own dreams and never give up,” shared Carlos Yulo during his acceptance speech.

Carlos Yulo secured his first gold medal in the individual men’s vault in artistic gymnastics, and his second in the individual men’s floor exercise. He made history by being the first Filipino and Southeast Asian to win multiple gold medals in the Olympics.

He also recently returned to Paris for the Paralympic Games, where he supported the Philippine Paralympic athletes and engaged in discussions on giving back to the communities that have helped shape him as an athlete.

“Thank you, Caloy, for being an inspiration. Like the Prado, you are legendary in every way. We hope the Prado will move your world and help you achieve even more,” said TMP President Masando Hashimoto in his speech.

Carlos Yulo was also given a tour around the TMP manufacturing plant where he was able to see the manufacturing processes for the Vios, Innova, and soon-to-be-launched Tamaraw.
