ICYMI: Nissan PH quietly introduces Almera Sport for Php 1.195M

Nissan Philippines is already injecting new life once more to its subcompact sedan entry—the Almera, as it quietly introduced a new Sport variant, a little over a year since launching the updated version here.

Based on the 1.0 VL Turbo CVT variant, the Almera Sport gets a few accessories and changes to make it stand-out from the rest of the lineup.

On the outside, the Nissan Almera Sport gets a front and side skirts with red accents, a gloss black front grille with a Sport badge, front fog lamp garnishes, and a rear lip spoiler. It also gets a faux rear diffuser with faux center dual exhaust pipes.

Exterior color options are Pearl White, Gun Metallic, and Moon Pearl Gray. These are all matched with a black roof and pillars.

Inside, the Almera Sport gets black leather dashboard trim, two-tone black and light gray leather seat upholstery with Sport embroidery, as well as light gray leather door trim. You’ll find reddish orange stitching on the dashboard, seats, and door trim; and it also gets Sport scuff plates and aluminum pedals.

Standard equipment remains similar to the VL variant it’s based on with multi-reflector LED headlights, LED taillights, 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-speaker audio system.

Under the hood is also the same 1.0-liter HRA0 turbocharged Inline 3-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 100 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque, mated to a CVT. Also, just like the VL, it is equipped with Nissan Intelligent Mobility and NissanConnect Services

The Nissan Almera Sport is priced at Php 1,195,000 or Php 40,000 more than the VL Turbo variant.
