The cutesy JAC Ytterby is now available in PH with Php 1.195M starting price
JAC Motors Philippines, under the distributorship of Astara Philippines, is expanding its lineup with its first fully-electric offering—the Ytterby subcompact hatchback.
Known as the Yiwei 3 in China and as the E30X in other markets, the Ytterby made its first local appearance at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) in April. It will compete with the likes of the popular BYD Dolphin, and the GWM Ora 03.
The JAC Ytterby is available in two variants which are as follows, together with their prices:
- Standard Air 405 – Php 1,195,000
- Luxury Pro 505 – Php 1,320,000
Both variants get a single electric motor. In the Air 405, it produces a maximum output of 95 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque. Paired with a 41 kWh battery pack, it has an estimated driving range of 405 kilometers on a single charge.
Meanwhile, the Pro 505 brings the maximum output up to 136 horsepower and 175 Nm. Here it is paired with a larger 51.5 kWh battery that allows it to drive for up to an estimated 505 kilometers on a single charge.
With a DC fast charger, it takes an estimated 30 minutes to replenish the battery from 30% to 90%, while using the provided 7 kW AC charger will replenish the battery from zero to full in an estimated seven to nine hours.
Looking at its exterior, the Ytterby wears what JAC Motors calls its Bubbles Aesthetic Design. This gives it a cute overall look with its round Angel Eyes headlights and soft body lines. It then rides on what they call petal wheels which come in a tri-color finish. Inside, it gets a modern interior with a two-tone color scheme and smooth curvy lines.
Standard equipment on the Ytterby Air 405 are LED headlights and taillights, 16-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, a 6.2-inch digital driver’s display, 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four-speaker audio system, wireless phone charger, 64-color ambient lighting, and a reverse camera.
The Pro 505 variant gets a larger 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system also with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, heated and ventilated driver seat, 360-degree panoramic camera system, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof.
Available exterior colors are Beige, Black, Blue, Emerald Green, Grey, Purple, and White, which can all be matched with a black roof and pillars. The interior on the Air 405 is colored in Black, while the Pro 505 gets Black and Coco Brown.
Safety-wise, both variants get six airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, stability control, brake assist, traction control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Pro 505 ups safety with a suite of advanced driver-assist features composed of blind spot detection, door open warning, cross traffic warning, lane departure warning, lane cross warning, front collision warning, lane keep assistance, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and intelligent cruise assistance.
With the growing popularity of these small EV hatchbacks, JAC Motors Philippines will surely want a slice of the pie. Do you think the JAC Ytterby is something worth considering?
