The Mazda BT-50 might look like a CX-5 soon
Four years after its global reveal in 2020, the Mazda BT-50 is set to receive a mid-cycle refresh for the 2025 model year. Its reveal date is scheduled for the Australian market this coming October 18.
This comes at the right time considering that the Isuzu D-MAX which it is based on received a big refresh last year. That also made its way here in June.
Based on the teaser, the refreshed BT-50 will receive a new set of L-shaped LED daytime running lights which mimic those that are found on the latest version of the CX-5. Interestingly, a large Mazda emblem seems to be the centerpiece of this new front fascia. As to whether it will actually be large, or is just large for teaser purposes, it will surely generate mixed feedback for now.
That’s all we can tell from the teaser image. Mazda did mention that this refresh will give the BT-50 a “comprehensive redesign inside and out” while its Human Machine Interface (HMI), and safety and assist systems will also receive their own enhancements.
We won’t have to wait too long for the reveal of the refreshed Mazda BT-50 as October 18 is exactly a week away (as of this writing). We can’t wait to see what Mazda has in-store for us with this.
