NLEX opens new F. Raymundo Exit and Meycauayan Exit improvements

With the holiday season long gone, all traffic along major thoroughfares in the Philippines is back in full swing. While that can be taken as an optimistic sign of economic productivity, it’s still a delay-ridden gremlin that we Filipinos have to experience on a daily basis. It’s something that occurs not only in NCR – but all around the country too.

That’s why motorists in Bulacan are in for a real treat courtesy of the North Luzon Expressway Corporation (NLEX Corp). To decongest some of the traffic in the area, the company has officially implemented two solutions that aim to alleviate drivers’ headaches.

Firstly, the Meycauayan Northbound Exit Ramp has been widened to accommodate more cars. This should increase the rate of exit from the expressway and prevent further buildup which sometimes also affects other lanes that aren’t planning to exit.

The NLEX Meycauayan NB Exit ramp is now wider.

The second change is the addition of an exit along F. Raymundo (see cover photo). Adding more exits allows people to depart from the expressway at a location that is nearer to their destination. Also, it takes some of the load away from the other exits and should thus result in shorter lines for the exits placed in the overall Bulacan area.

Based on the comments, many netizens are pleased with this outcome. Many commenters are looking forward to making use of these additions. While there may be others with a more practical view that this doesn’t take away all the issues on NLEX, it surely helps in one way or another.
