Updated Nissan Urvan arrives in the Philippine market
Nissan Philippines has quietly updated Nissan Urvan for the 2024 model year. It still sports the same exterior updates from 2023 receiving a new bumper and grille design. However, the biggest change for the popular people hauler is the addition of new safety features that make the van even more attractive than ever.
The Japanese automaker is making the Urvan even safer than before, adding its suite of Nissan Intelligent Mobility features to the van. Previously only available in the Premium model, the rest of the variant lineup now gets High Beam Assist, Auto Headlamps, an Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror, Hill Start Assist, and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC). Something to note is that not all of these features are available with the manual variants of the van, as some can only be found in the automatic models.
Like before, the Urvan still retains its comprehensive list of safety features, including ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, and six SRS airbags for the GX and Premium variants.
Despite these new safety features updates, the Urvan retains the same 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine that produces 129 horsepower and 356 Nm of torque mated to either a 5-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.
“The Urvan has proven to be a reliable vehicle for the transportation needs of Filipinos, and we are happy to introduce these changes to further enhance its safety,” says Nissan Philippines President Juan Manuel Hoyos.
