This new Chevrolet Captiva has already driven 100,000 kilometers
Last month, Chevrolet Philippines brought back an old nameplate–the Captiva–as their first new model under the distributorship of Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) which tookover the brand’s local operations earlier this year.
And to prove the new model’s durability, the company has brought the 7-seater crossover to its paces by taking it on a 100,000-kilometer endurance test. This is similar to what the company did with the Changan CS35 Plus a few years ago when it used to distribute the Chinese brand locally.
According to the American automaker, this feat was done in a total of just 85 days, with an average driving distance of 1,176 kilometers per day. They also noted that the engine was running non-stop. A support team from the brand’s aftersales department was also present during the drive.
“Filipino families treat their vehicles as more than just their means of transportation; they need them to be versatile workhorses, integral to their everyday lives,” says HARI and Chevrolet Philippines Vice Chairman, President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.
“At Chevrolet, this endurance test is solid proof of the reliability that customers expect from us. The Captiva is built to last. Backed by a strong aftersales and maintenance network, customers can rely on us every step of the way.”
