Audi’s new brand in China is called AUDI
In case you’re wondering why the Audi pictured above does not wear the brand’s “four rings” logo, well that’s because it’s not. What you’re looking at is actually an AUDI and that’s Audi’s new brand for the Chinese market.
Confused? Weirded-out? We are too. Audi has got everything covered though as the reason why you do not see their iconic “four rings” here is exactly to differentiate the two brands.
Made in partnership with China’s SAIC Motor, the new AUDI brand’s reveal is marked by the debut of the AUDI E concept which previews three models which should come out from the brand by mid-2025. The company also says that this concept is designed to be tailored to and exceed Chinese customer expectations.
That starts with its looks which strays away from any other existing Audi model and concept vehicle. Minimalist design cues are all over. It even gets an illuminated logo so that you know that it is an AUDI.
Powertrain details are already available. The AUDI E concept gets dual electric motors which produces a total of 775 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. It has a quoted 0 to 100 kph acceleration time of 3.6 seconds.
It is also equipped with a 100 kWh battery pack which allows it to drive 700 km on a single charge. And speaking of charge, a 10-minute fast charge will already add about 370 km of range.
As mentioned, the AUDI E concept previews what is to come to the brand in mid-2025. Reports say that there will be an SUV and sedan version. What do you think of Audi’s new AUDI?
