Fully-electric Geely Geometry C previewed in PH, launching this year

After a bit of silence until they launched their latest offering, the GX3 Pro subcompact crossover, Geely Philippines, under Sojitz G Auto Philippines Corporation (SGAP), is ready to make some noise again.

The Chinese automaker recently at a gathering with members of the local motoring media and content creators its first entry into the local EV market, the Geometry C. First revealed in 2019, it is actually produced for Geely’s Geometry sub-brand and is based on the Geely Emgrand GS crossover.

In terms of design, it looks slightly different from most models in the Geely lineup with its aggressive front fascia that makes use of clean lines. The rear on the other hand features a set of full-width LED taillights. Inside, it should look familiar with other Geely models with the sleek lines and premium vibe.

Official Philippine-market specifications for the Geely Geometry C are not yet available but looking at other markets, we can expect it to have a digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather seats, two-tone black and light brown interior color scheme, and automatic climate control.

As for its powertrain, we can expect it to come with an electric motor paired to choices of either  53kWh or 70kWh lithium-ion batteries, producing 200 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. With the smaller battery, it can drive up to 400 km, or up to 500 km with the larger battery.

While its launch date is not yet confirmed, we can expect the Geely Geometry C to join the local EV scene within the year. Would you take this over other rivals like the BYD Atto 3 and MG 4?
