BYD Atto 3 receives updates in Australia, when will it come to PH?
Fully-electric vehicles (EV) are becoming a very common sight on Philippine roads. One of the more popular EV options in our market is the BYD Atto 3 which has just received a bunch of updates over at the land down under.
Interestingly, despite the improvement in standard equipment, the updated Atto 3 gets a price reduction in Australia. The Standard Range variant is now priced at AUD 47,189.90 (~Php 1.764-million) while the Extended Range is now priced at AUD 50,315.90 (~Php 1.882-million). Those are reductions of AUD 3,512 or around Php 131,270.
So with that, what exactly has changed?
On the outside, updates aren’t that obvious. For starters, a new Cosmos Black exterior paint job is now available. The silver D-pillar panel and chrome window surrounds are now finished in gloss black. In addition, the Atlas Batman tires have been swapped-out in favor of wider 235/50 Continental EC6 tires which should help improve grip.
Inside, the new exterior color is matched with a black and dark blue two-tone color scheme. The 12.8-inch central rotating touchscreen has been replaced by a larger 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Powertrain-wise, it remains unchanged. The 2025 BYD Atto 3 still gets a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that produces 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. The short range version is paired with a 49.92 kWh BYD Blade Battery that allows for an estimated driving range of 345 km. The long range on the other hand gets a larger 60.48 kWh battery which allows for a range of 420 km.
Given the BYD Atto 3’s popularity here in the Philippines, the only question is when will BYD Cars Philippines introduce these updates? And while it is already quite affordable at its prices of Php 1.598-million and Php 1.798-million, we’re also somewhat hoping to see similar price cuts as what the Australian-market gets.
