Hyundai Motor PH donates 5 Stargazer units to PNP, 2 H-100 units to DSWD
Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) is definitely very supportive of the mobility needs of the Philippine government, particularly the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The Korean automaker handed over to the government agencies on two separate occasions a fleet of Hyundai vehicles—the H-100 light commercial vehicle for the DSWD, and the Stargazer subcompact MPV for the PNP.
Two units of the Hyundai H-100 were received by the DSWD-NCR Field Office during the handover ceremony. These complete the brand’s donation of four units to the government agency after the first two in 2023. They will be used to support the DSWD’s relief response operations.
“Last year, we donated two H-100 units to support DSWD’s disaster response and management and outreach operations. And today, we continue to show our support through the additional units we will be handing over. This donation not only fortifies our partnership, but especially Hyundai Motor’s journey towards its vision, ‘Progress for Humanity’,” said HMPH President Jiho Son.
Meanwhile for the PNP, the turnover of five Stargazer units was held at the agency’s National Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City. This donation marks the second partnership between HMPH and the PNP. Previously, HMPH extended its aftersales support to the PNP in 2023 to ensure the overall roadworthiness of the Hyundai patrol vehicles.
“These vehicles will significantly bolster the administrative operations of the PNP Command Group and the Directorate for Logistics, ensuring that our logistical capabilities remain seamless and responsive. With enhanced mobility and efficiency, these vehicles empower our personnel to focus on fulfilling their duties to serve and protect the Filipino people. Let us continue to uphold our vision of “Mahusay, Matatag, at Maasahan na Kapulisan”—a modern Filipino Police Force for a modern Filipino society. Together, with steadfast partnerships and unwavering commitment to public service, we are building a brighter, safer tomorrow,” said PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil.
