Mazda Spirit Racing set to unveil first production model at 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon
Mazda is all set to begin production of its Mazda Spirit Racing models, with a public debut at the upcoming 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon (TAS).
Mazda Spirit Racing was first made known to the world at its debut at the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon and can be likened to Mazdaspeed which was the Japanese automaker’s in-house tuning division until 2013.
Exact details have not yet been announced but we are expecting to see the production versions of the Mazda Roadster (MX-5)-based Spirit Racing RS and Mazda 3 Hatchback-based Spirit Racing 3 concepts which were also shown last year.
Mazda will also be showing-off at the TAS its vehicles which participated at the Super Taikyu Endurance Series—the Mazda Spirit Racing Roadster CNF and Mazda Spirit Racing Mazda3 Bio concepts—as well as the Toyo Tires Mazda CX-5 which participated at the XCR Sprint Cup Hokkaido rally race.
Visitors may also participate at the e-Sports Gran Turismo Time Attack where you can get behind the wheel and try out your sim-racing skills through a Time Attack race on Gran Turismo 7.
Mazda Spirit Racing merchandise, and 1:18 and 1:43 die-cast models of the Iconic SP concept will also be available for purchase through the Mazda Official Goods Shop.
