Ford Philippines unveils specs for the 2024 Mustang

Ford Philippines has officially revealed the pricing and specs of the all-new Ford Mustang. The Blue Oval brand has updated its local website in its “Future Vehicles” tab to give you a quick glimpse of what you can expect from its iconic muscle car.

First off, the Mustang will be available in two variations; the first is the 5.0 GT Premium Fastback, which has a retail price starting at Php 3,999,000, and the second is the 2.3 EcoBoost Premium Fastback, priced at Php 3,499,000. Both muscle car variants will be available in the following colors: Vapor Blue Metallic, Iconic Silver, Race Red, and Shadow Black. However, the GT Premium model gets exclusive colors such as Grabber Blue and Yellow Splash Metallic, which cost an additional Php 20,000.

Regarding power, the 5.0 GT model still packs a V8 under the hood, pushing out 493 horsepower and 567 Nm of torque. Ford has yet to confirm if a manual version will be available, but the website confirms that it will be getting a 10-speed Selectshift Automatic gearbox to reel in power. Meanwhile, the EcoBoost model still gets its turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-4 engine, pushing out 319 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque mated to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

Multiple drive modes are available for the new Mustang, starting with Normal, Sport, Slippery, Custom, Track, and Drag Strip. These can be switched on the fly depending on what the driver wants. Aside from this, both muscle car variants will now get access to Ford’s MagneRide Damping System coupled with Brembo brakes.

As for the interior of the new Mustang, it gets a new Magnesium Framed 13-inch Colored Center Display and features Ford’s SYNC4 system with enhanced voice recognition software. Aside from this, it also gets wireless mobile charging and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster.

For safety, the iconic muscle car gets the brand’s Co-Pilot 360 Technology, which gives it a host of advanced safety assist systems such as Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross Traffic Alert and Braking, Auto High Beam Headlights, Post Impact Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and Lane Centering Assist function. The safety features don’t stop there as the Mustang also gets Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Evasive Steer Assist that alerts and assist the driver if a potential collision is detected.

The new Ford Mustang can also be connected with the brand’s FordPass app, which lets the owner control certain aspects of the vehicle from the comfort of their mobile phone. The app also has an Intelligent Oil Life Monitor, which lets the owner see the vehicle’s status and current location.

Ford Philippines has yet to announce the launch date of these vehicles, but given that it is already accepting reservations, the launch could be happening very soon.
