Volvo PH to expand Luzon presence with new Pampanga dealership
Volvo Philippines, through its local distributor Scandinavian Motors Corporation (SMC) and dealer Viking Cars, Inc. (VCI), is set to expand its presence in the country’s largest island of Luzon with a new dealership in the province of Pampanga, around 80 kilometers north of Metro Manila.
To be operated by Gateway Group, one of the largest multi-brand automotive dealer groups in the country, Volvo Cars Pampanga is expected to formally open and be fully operational by the second quarter of 2023.
Volvo Cars Pampanga will be located along McArthur Highway, Baliti, City of San Fernando, Pampanga and will reflect the brand’s new retail environment. Designed to showcase Scandinavian-inspired values of calm, clean lines with ‘cool on the outside and warm on the inside’-style architecture, the Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) is a space where guests can feel at home. It will also be the first Volvo car dealership outside Metro Manila.
The partnership between SMC, VCI, and Gateway Group was finalized in a contract signing ceremony held in Volvo Cars Makati. Present were Gateway Group executives such as its Chairman Markane Goho, Executive Vice President Michael Goho, and Brand Head Gerry Hernandez. Volvo Philippines President & CEO Atty. Albert B. Arcilla, Marketing Director Christopher Lee Yu, Vice President for Finance Matthew T. Lee, and AVP for sales Froilan Valencia, were on hand to welcome the new partners.
“We tread on an exciting path towards becoming a truly electrifying car brand – both in the products we carry and the quality of service we provide. We have full confidence in our partner and look forward to a thriving relationship with the Northern Luzon market. We want to bring Volvo cars closer to people and provide them with the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way,” shares Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla.
“Volvo Pampanga will certainly be a gateway for new and exciting opportunities for the brand. We look forward to seeing you there!”, invites Yu.
