Next-gen Ford Everest set to be revealed next month

It’s no longer a secret that Ford is currently out testing the next generation of its Ranger-based SUV, the Everest midsize SUV. Those wanting to get their hands on one will not have to wait much longer as the blue oval is set to reveal its newest SUV soon.

The next-generation Ford Everest, the third in its entire lifespan, is set to be revealed on March 1, barely two weeks from now. The company today released teaser images and video to hype up the excitement for the upcoming reveal.

Based on the all-new Ford Ranger which was revealed in November last year, Ford says the next-gen Everest will have a bold design, adventure-ready capability, enhanced safety and premium interior comfort.

Our intention from the beginning was to communicate the capability of next-gen Everest with a modern, strong exterior design,” said Max Wolff, design director for the Ford Everest. “On the interior, we created a sanctuary with premium appointments in which customers could feel relaxed and in control, no matter what was going on outside.”

The photo and video teaser, as well as previous teasers, unsurprisingly reveals that the all-new Ford Everest will wear a very similar front fascia with the new Ranger with its signature C-clamp LED headlights, as well as its larger and more muscular front grille. We also expect it to ride on 20-inch alloy wheels just like the outgoing model, and have wraparound LED taillights with the possibility of a full-width lightbar just like on other new Ford SUV models.

We also expect the all-new Everest to share a similar, if not the same, dashboard design, and front door panels and seats with the new generation Ranger. It could come with a portrait-oriented 12-inch SYNC4 infotainment system, and a fully-digital instrument cluster, among others.

No details have been shared as to what will power the all-new Everest but it’s safe to say that it will have the same engine options as the Ranger. Possible to see under the hood are choices of 2.0-liter four-cylinder single and bi-turbo diesels, as well as a new 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, paired to the company’s 10-speed automatic transmission.

Again, Ford is going to reveal the all-new Everest on March 1. It will also be streamed live on Ford Philippines’ official Facebook page and YouTube channel at 3:00 PM (Philippine Time).
