Nissan has quietly shown off the refreshed Z

At this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon, the spotlight rests mostly on the various customized cars from both independent tuners and the brands themselves, but sometimes, the latter uses it to announce upcoming updates for their newest cars. Nissan did this quietly, previewing the updated Fairlady Z.
This is the first update for the model since it came out, and apart from the visual updates, the mechanical bits get some love, too.

Similar to the Nissan Z Heritage Edition with the S30 Fairlady Z-inspired front bumper (called the G-Nose), the update now brings a similar, longer bumper, with a new grille with a single body-colored trim piece, and the “Z” emblem now sits on the nose in place of the Nissan logo. This new bumper, according to Nissan, improves aerodynamics by reducing front lift and drag.

The next change comes in the new two-tone 19-inch wheels, and a striking Unryu Green color is now available. The interior is mostly unchanged as well, save for a new two-tone tan-and-black color scheme that should go well with the new shade of green.

Mechanically, the Z is still unchanged, with the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 (VR30DDTT) with 400 horsepower and 475Nm of torque, mated either to a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic. However, the suspension gets improvements, and the brakes too, for better handling and stopping power.
Would you want to see these changes get introduced to local Nissan Zs soon?
