Nissan PH Officially Launches 2021 Navara With PHP 1.149M Starting Price

While we all had an advance preview of the 2021 Nissan Navara the past 7 days, there was one big question and that was how much will the new model cost in the country.

Now that question can be answered as Nissan Philippines has officially introduced the updated version of the popular pick-up truck in the country.

“The Philippines is a key market for Nissan”, said Isao Sekiguchi, regional vice president for Nissan in ASEAN. “Today, we’re showing our commitment to transform our product lineup in the Philippines with the launch of Nissan’s iconic pickup nameplate, the new Navara. The new entry in the key vehicle segment in the country is an important step in the company’s Nissan NEXT transformation plan”.

As you probably already know, the 2021 Nissan Navara can be had in 8 different variants from the base and utilitarian 2.5 EL 4×2 M/T to the 2.5 VL 4×4 A/T, and the new 2.5 PRO-4X 4×4 A/T variant. The former mid-grade 2.5 EL Calibre variants have also been replaced by the new VE variants, similar to the lineup of the truck’s Terra SUV sibling.

For the exterior, the 2021 Navara gets a more modern front fascia with a new and larger V-Motion grille and restyled bumper which looks more angular. The headlights maintain the same shape but are now available with Quad LED Projector LED bulbs as standard except on the base EL. It also gets a new set of alloy wheel designs (steelies for the EL) and a redesigned tailgate as well. The taillight clusters have also been redesigned with a more modern LED design.

Inside, the look remains basically the same but the most obvious change is the new steering wheel which gets a sportier and more car-like design. Other changes are upgraded Zero Gravity seats, new rear seats, and the 8-inch NissanConnect infotainment system which is now available on all except the EL variant.

Under the hood, the 2021 Nissan Navara still gets the company’s familiar 2.5-liter YD25 diesel powertrain with VGS Turbo. It still produces the same 188 hp and 450 Nm of torque for the mid and upper variants, or 161 hp and 403 Nm of torque for the lower-end variants. This is paired to a 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.

In terms of safety, the 2021 Navara is equipped with the following safety features as standard on all variants: dual front airbags, side airbags, side curtain airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist, 4-Wheel Active Brake Limited Assist and Trailer Stability Assist, and ISOFIX Childseat Anchors.

In addition, VL and PRO-4X variants also come equipped with an Intelligent Around-View Monitor (with Off-Road Mode on VL 4×4 and PRO-4X variants). Off-Road Mode automatically switches on the AVM Monitor when the 4WD system is switched to 4Lo up to 10 kph. This allows the driver to have an easier time off-roading.

In addition, Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety features in the Nissan Navara such as the Driver Attention Alert, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and High Beam Assist that enables drivers to do more and see more.

The 2021 Nissan Navara is now available in all Nissan dealerships nationwide with the following prices:

• Navara 2.5 VE Calibre 4×2 M/T: Php 1,369,000
• Navara 2.5 VE Calibre 4×2 A/T: Php 1,459,000

Nissan Philippines is also offering a five-year vehicle warranty exclusive only for the new Nissan Navara. The five-year warranty applies to all new Navara variants, making it a unique offering for the pickup segment.
