Nissan PH Teases 2022 Terra
The next few months are gonna be exciting times for the local automotive industry as two very popular models are set to be launched. Just the other day, Isuzu Philippines teased the 2022 mu-X’s upcoming launch in the country. Now, Nissan Philippines has followed suit by teasing the 2022 Terra
The heavily-revised version of the Navara-based SUV is coming very soon as Nissan Philippines has posted an official teaser on its social media pages.
The teaser shows a dark image of what are obviously the new headlights and daytime running lights of the updated Nissan Terra, first revealed as the X-Terra in Middle Eastern markets late last year.
Other than the first and only shadowy teaser, nothing is known yet as to what the 2022 Nissan Terra will feature locally. There have been spy photos of the top-spec VL 4×4 variant which do show a lot especially on the inside where it will get a completely revamped dashboard with more premium materials versus the outgoing model.
We’re also expecting the outgoing model’s 2.5L YD25 turbodiesel to be carried over with the same output of 187 hp and 450 Nm of torque paired to a 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. We’re also expecting safety features to be carried-over such as the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite of driver-assist features.
As to when the 2022 Nissan Terra will be launched, no word on that but with the teaser, it will surely be soon. Things are surely heating up at the mid-size SUV segment with the new Terra and the upcoming 2022 Isuzu mu-X.
